About the Author
Rachel Rosenthal is a pioneer of ‘performance art’. She has toured her works nationally and internationally since 1975, earning Obie, Rockefeller, Getty, NEA and CAA awards among others. DbD is her signature brand of improvisational theatre, which she continues to teach around the globe.
Kate Noonan is an Interdisciplinary Artist/Arts Educator who has taught Theatre Arts and "Performance from Scratch" workshops across the USA.

DoingByDoing--a fantastic experience

Oh my, what a work The DbD Experience is! Among so many hundreds of great things to be found here it's impossible to single out this one or that one for praise. To nail down and make the reader live through 34 hours of extraordinary experience in this way, virtually minute by minute, is simply an astounding feat.
To all the author's other magnificent achievements now must be added a book that deserves to become a foundation work of the theater alongside, say, Stanislavski's An Actor Prepares. Readers fortunate enough to encounter this book will surely be looking forward with great anticipation to its sequel, which covers the eight-week class that takes her pupils beyond the DbD Experience.
