Simon Unwin is Emeritus Professor of Architecture at the University of Dundee, UK. He has lived in the UK and Australia, and taught or lectured on his work in China, Israel, India, Sweden, Turkey and the US. detailed, deep, interesting reading

This book (paperback edition bought in UK) is really a good work, and even if you are an architect you can surely find some details you missed or forgot about these masterpieces. Simple, clear, but not an easy book: there's a deep knowledge of what the author writes about. Not for those looking for amazing pictures, this work is about the sense of architecture. Something more could be done in graphic design: illustrations are sometimes minimal.
